Nova Scotia captivated me from the moment I arrived. The rugged coastline, dotted with lighthouses and fishing villages, seemed straight out of a painting. Iona, our guide, shared stories of the region’s maritime history, from tales of shipwrecks to the traditions of the Mi’kmaq people.
One of the most memorable moments was a visit to Peggy’s Cove, where we watched waves crash against the rocks and enjoyed a lobster roll fresh from the sea. Later, we walked along the Skyline Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park, surrounded by breathtaking ocean views. In the evenings, Iona arranged for us to attend a ceilidh, a traditional Gaelic music gathering, where we danced and celebrated the region’s rich culture. Nova Scotia wasn’t just a destination—it was an experience that touched my soul.
