The Thrill of the Rockies

The Thrill of the Rockies

By Marcus and Clara DuPont
Our family had always wanted to visit the Canadian Rockies, but nothing could have prepared us for the sheer majesty of it all. From the moment we arrived in Banff, it felt like stepping into a postcard. The mountains were towering, the air was crisp, and the lakes shimmered like jewels. Our guide, Seraphina, led us on hikes that revealed hidden waterfalls and alpine meadows bursting with wildflowers.

One of the highlights was canoeing on Moraine Lake. The water was so still it reflected the surrounding peaks like a mirror. We also took a gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain, where the panoramic views took our breath away. Seraphina’s knowledge of the area made the experience unforgettable. She pointed out wildlife tracks, explained the geology of the region, and even helped our kids spot a family of mountain goats. It was a trip that brought us closer together as a family and closer to nature.
